Destin Library Board expands with land purchase and new rooms
The Destin Library Board bought a 50 by 200 foot parcel behind the library to support future expansion funded by donations for a $50,000 loan. The board named sections Zerbe Room Calhoun Room and Fox Room honoring key donors and founders. New directors Ed Patterson Bud Michelsen and Andy Jones joined the board, with Debbie Jeffries elevated to full member. The thrift shop remains the primary fundraiser, with volunteers needed and a Dali etching donated. Ray and Rhonda Coutu announce the birth of Rae Anne, weighing 8 pounds 8 ounces.
