Destin Building Permits Maintain Million Dollar Pace

Destin area drives rising countywide building permits with Okaloosa County posting a $2 million November jump to $4.7 million, while Destin itself issued about $900,000 in new permits for the month. Residential construction in Destin totaled over $400,000 with nine new single family permits, accounting for nearly half the area’s market. Major projects include a $200,000 Back Porch Restaurant renovation by Destin Development and a $136,000 multi-phase buidling at Airport Road Park Lane for shops and warehouses by Frank Bucci, targeting early 1983 completion. Additional permits cover docks, remodels, additions, and roofing across Destin and Holiday Isle properties. The county notes a surge in single-family residential permits overall.
