Clear Weather Clean Water Boost Destin Dive Week
Good weather warm water and clear seas fueled a busy week for Destin divers. Water in the low 80s with a thermalcline near 80 feet gave 40 to 80 feet visibility. Boats Fantasea and Aquanaut hosted multiple groups from Arkansas Mississippi and Lake Charles. New divers were certified by Birmingham Scuba Center. Wildlife included horse conchs flounder amberjack and lobster while a large 169 pound blue marlin was caught by Bill McCaa and crew on the Tina Lynn II.
