OWJC Offers Ceramic Classes for Fall Semester
Okaloosa-Walton Junior College will offer Ceramics I and II starting August 25. Registration is August 22-23 in the College Mall, with classes meeting 8 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday in Room K-122. Instructor Arnold Hart notes the course can be taken for college credit or non-college credit and covers throwing, glazing, kiln firing, and hand-building with clay.

Rainbow Girls Fashion Show Helps Special Olympics

PRIDE program recognizes high school senior achievement
Academic excellence in math science social studies and writing continues in the 1983 84 PRIDE program now in its third year. PRIDE includes awards for top performance among high school seniors across the state. In 1982 83 sixty one districts participated and 7 724 Certificates of Excellence were earned by seniors from 260 high schools with regional and state winners receiving cash awards from 900 to 1 400.

The Okaloosa Walton Junior College chorus and orchestra start rehearsals for the fall semester. Rehearsals open to students and community members proficient in voice or orchestral instruments, with Brahms German Requiem in November and Handel Messiah in December.
