Florida Academic Scholars Program Set to Begin in 1984
High school students will qualify for the Florida Academic Scholars Program starting July 1 1984. The program rewards rigorous coursework and offers automatic admission to Florida public colleges and scholarships from the Florida Academic Scholars Fund based on 22 high school credits and a solid GPA. Scholarships range 500 to 750 annually depending on tuition costs, with eligibility extended to 1983 recipients.

Bay School Bus Routes Announced
The Bay Elementary School in South Walton County announced bus routes. Leona Strickland will drive bus 824 on a route covering Highway 98 east Phillip's Inlet Eastern Lake Seagrove Beach and Highway 331 to the Bay school. Lorraine Morgan drives bus 744 via Ferry Road Point Washington Tower and Point Washington to Highway 331 to the school. Parents with questions can call the transportation office at 892-3214 or the drivers.
