Destin Alliance pushes back on DOT six lane plan and power lines near airport

Destin residents and group leaders voiced opposition to DOT six lining Highway 98 through Destin and urged removal of Gulf Power lines near the airport glide slope. The alliance and POD urged letters to officials, while disaster prep and hurricane readiness events were announced. Fire Chief Watkins reported 21 calls since last meeting and noted limited power issues during a Sunday plane crash response.
