National SCUBA Week Proposed by Congress and Jacques Cousteau
A congressional joint resolution by Rep Robert Badham seeks to declare June 11 1984 as National SCUBA Week marking Cousteaus birthday and 1943 Aqua Lung test. The plan urges public support and provides contact details for representatives and local offices while noting local scuba centers report busy certification weekends in Destin and ongoing underwater discoveries and dives.
