White House denies Sabotage Claims in Segretti Probe
White House Press Secretary Ron Ziegler denies any White House direction of political sabotage. He says he has no knowledge of a log of calls and maintains no current staff were involved in the Watergate break‑in. The Los Angeles Times cites Segretti's spending on cross‑country trips in late 1971 to four states including New Hampshire, New Mexico, Florida and Oregon.
