Navy Recruiting Tour to Visit Arkansas City Hamburg
The U S Navy Recruiting Station in Little Rock plans visits to Arkansas City on May 1 and Hamburg on May 27 and 28 to enlist men. The recruiting team includes J A Mason and others. Enlistment ages 17 to 26 for Apprentice Seamen, with training at Great Lakes. Pay starts at 37 60 monthly during training, then 20 after. Enlistment for four years with bonuses on re enlistment. A USDA Weekly News Letter summary reports 30 pullets fed limited cottonseed meal produced an average 52.3 eggs over 20 weeks from Nov 1 to Mar 20, matching top yields. A 38 percent cottonseed mash produced only 33.2 eggs with discolored yolks. 10 percent mash with beef scrap performed best. Replacing beef scrap with cottonseed in cottonseed heavy rations also showed excellent results in production areas.
