Saturday Market by Woman's Auxiliary at Presby Church

The Woman's Auxiliary of the Presbyterian Church will hold a Saturday market next Saturday afternoon at Mrs. Hutchison's store beside the post office. Proceeds fund church activities. Items for Sunday dinners will be sold at wartime-friendly prices, including pies cakes and chicken. Members urged to contribute and deliver early.

Obituary James Courson 7 Dies After Short Illness

James Courson seven year old son of Mr and Mrs C E Courson died suddenly at his home last Saturday after a few hours illness with a convective chill. Funeral services were held at Baptist church Sunday at three with Rev N C Denson officiating. Interment in Dermott cemetery. His mother was at Hamburg at death tending her mother who is seriously ill. He leaves three brothers and four sisters. The family has community sympathy.

Methodist Shop Talk Highlights Church Activities

Sunday School was down to SL last Sunday while the League and Prayer meeting were well attended. One accession to the church occurred. The Missionary Society met at Mrs. Kimpel’s Monday evening. Grover A. Long, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Long, was baptized. Rev. H. F. Bubler of Little Rock will preach next Sunday morning. J. L. Cannon.

Study Circle Day Observed by Woman's Missionary Society

W M S met Monday afternoon February 12 at Mrs. Kimpel's home led by Mrs. Prothro. Members read Daniel, learned about his era and deliverance, welcomed Mrs. Long as new member, and christened Master Grover Long Jr. on the cradle roll. Next lesson covers the first six Minor Prophets. Refreshments served. Lord's Prayer ends the meeting. See’y.

Presbyterian Church Endorses Churchgoing Habit Sermons Announced

A Massillon Mass|on message from December 22 reports President Wilson endorsing a Massillon Chamber of Commerce church advertising effort to boost church attendance. The program features sermons at 11 o clock with music on The Last Seven Words from the Cross and evening services. Bible study at 4:45.
