Announcement invites all to attend any or all services at BSRETHAN CHURCH late Tuesday afternoon and evening. The schedule lists a 2:30 pm start for the Endeavor program and mentions a welcoming atmosphere for parishioners.

Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Miller of Peru took in Master Harry Eugene Wade seven, bringing him from south of Indianapolis. The boy entered Denver public school Monday and is improving under the Miller's care, with the couple described as fine guardians.

Sunday school class No 2 under Mrs Hattie Berger hosted an oyster supper for the entire Sunday School at the Weaanw church northwest of Denver. Class No 3 won the contest and provided the evening. Over fifty scholars attended with a musical program after supper. P S Sullivan teaches class No 3.
The Loyal Workers class of Denver Brethren Sunday School organized a surprise party for teacher Mrs L G Wood last Wednesday evening. About twenty ladies attended and presented a rug and crochet items as thanks. Mrs Wood departs today for her new Roanoke Virginia home.
The Epworth League was entertained at Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Sellers home Monday evening. About twenty five attended and enjoyed games and music. Cream and cake were served. salt in the cream did not spoil the evening as refreshments were only a minor part of the event.
Albert Fouts of East Denver pleasant entertained his Brotherhood Class of boys from the Denver Brethren Sunday School at his home on Saturday afternoon. Automobile riding aid and picture taking were the highlights of the outing. Refreshments were served.
The Ladies Aid Society of the Methodist Church will hold its next monthly meeting at the church. Members are urged to attend for plans and fellowship.

Mrs Daisy Miller and helpers entertained about twenty five children of the Methodist church class at East Harrison Street Saturday afternoon from two to four. Clara Sellers and her daughter Helen assisted. The youngsters enjoyed games and a light refreshments of ice cream and cake were served.
Harley Sincroft of North Manchester and Miss Ethel Cover of Denver secured a marriage license in Peru on Saturday. The couple plans a future ceremony after completing required steps.
The first number of the Denver High School lecture course for 1915 16 was held at the Methodist church last Saturday evening. The program, by the Dennis Lyceum Bureau, showcased high quality musical training and ability. The next event is scheduled for Wednesday evening October 6 at 8 p m with hopes for a larger audience.
Miss Rose Fagan, after a brief return to Denver from Terre Haute, traveled with her mother to Athens Indiana to visit Mrs. Clara VanLue. She then went on to DeKalb Illinois where she has taken a former position at the Gullickson Studio. her mother intends to join her soon.
Rev J B Cook of Warsaw will be the Senior's Day speaker at Denver Methodist Church on Sunday October 10. An audit meeting accompanies the service and an interesting program is planned inviting all to attend.
E. G. Kline, manager of O. Gandy & Co elevator at Denver, has a force at work this week erecting a sixty foot extension to the coal sheds. The addition will be used for coal storage and for a lime and cement storage room.

Members honored Rev Wood and his family on his last day as pastor with an all day service at the church. A sumptuous noon dinner in the basement surprised the couple as they reflected on their years of work. The community joined in appreciation of their dedication and leadership.
