A party of insurgents ditched a train near Angeles and opened fire on derailed cars from a bamboo thicket, killing two Americans and wounding five. Lieut. Some and five scouts defended the train, rebels found at the thicket, and Gen. Wheaton moved to relieve the train though not needed.
