Peru youth dies after Mexico Pike skid on wet road
George Kling of Peru died at Peru City Hospital after a Tuesday night crash on the Mexico Pike south of Denver. Ed Sharp, also of Peru, escaped serious harm as their car skidded on a wet curve, leaving the road into a ditch. Kling had recently been in another collision on the same stretch.

Twelve Mile youth enters Ann Arbor Medical College
Gordon Mikesell of Twelve Mile left last Friday for Ann Arbor to begin a full medical course at the University of Michigan Medical College. A Denver native, he lived here with his parents Bert and (Mrs.) Mikesell while his father worked as a blacksmith. He graduated from Twelve Mile High School in spring and has since prepared for medical school this fall.

Two Injured In Auto Accident Saturday Night
Wallace Rennells son of C. Rennells storekeeper at Perrysburg was hurt about head and right hip while a young man named Waymire suffered severe shock and minor bruises when two autos collided on the Mexico Pike late Saturday. The Fagen of Miami owned car had Kling with him at the wheel. Both cars were badly smashed and an early arrival reported a near fatal outcome. Rennells driver was taken to Clayton McElwee’s home for treatment. Local relatives aided as Perrysburg residents rallied.

Pioneer Mexico Citizen John G D Bender Dies at 83
John G D Bender, pioneer resident of Mexico, died Saturday at 11 after a four year illness from heart enlargement. Born January 9 1836 in Canton Ohio, he was 83. He lived in Mexico for sixty years and leaves two wives and children William A Bender Florence R Bender Albert M Bender along with brothers Philip P Bender Alonzo E Bender and sister Elizabeth Hartman. Funeral was held Monday at 2 pm from the Mexico church with burial at Mexico Green Lawn Cemetery. He was a member of the I O O F and Masons.
