A poem warns guardians about the dangers of youth succumbing to sin. It urges fathers and mothers to guide and protect their sons from temptations of wealth, allure, and vice, urging diligence to keep youths on the right path before it is too late.
A Indiana Farmer item reflects on life around 1900 noting vast shifts from wilderness to cities, new lighting from kerosene to electricity, emergence of sewing machines, bicycles, telephones, and phonographs, and changes in roads, farming, food, and daily life. Mrs Join Robinson and daughter Goldie of Logansport spent a week with Jacob Blackketter family. Mrs Ella Horton visiting Wm Rogers and wife. A L Crippen and family were guests of Thomas Crippen Sunday. Mrs Ida McKee Anna and Merl McKee and Mr Swindler and Mr and Mrs Ego Smith took dinner with J W Blackketter. Mrs Thompson and daughter.
A goodly number of Republicans of Jefferson township met in convention at Keyes hall in Mexico Ast Saturday afternoon. The meeting opened at 2 000 clock with T D W Manchester as chairman and Lee Fists secretary. Delegates and alternates were chosen for congressional district and joint representative seats. Silas Colvin was named as delegate with John McGuire as alternate for congressional, Pred Wooley as delegate with A B Vore as alternate for district delegates, Jim Conner as delegate with Walter Bond as alternate for joint representative, and Rev J M Baker as delegate with W I Hoff as alternate for state. After a few speeches the convention adjourned.

Claiming to end hair loss and dandruff, the Beges' Hair Renewer is endorsed by Mrs. M. M. McKeever of Abbeyville Kansas who says it stopped hair loss and sparked new growth.
A spammy posting offers yearly $600 paid weekly for district office representation in the state. It promises unusual opportunities and requires references and a self addressed stamped envelope. The ad lists L A Park at 320 Caxton Building Chicago.
Miss Nora Brubaker and Mr. Marion Raber were married at the Brubaker residence near Perrysburg on March 3 1900 at 730 PM by Rev F C Moon. The couple, both from near the Burg, were joined by many friends and extend best wishes for happiness and success.
