A Harmonious Convention at Keyes Hall Mexico Ast

A goodly number of Republicans of Jefferson township met in convention at Keyes hall in Mexico Ast Saturday afternoon. The meeting opened at 2 000 clock with T D W Manchester as chairman and Lee Fists secretary. Delegates and alternates were chosen for congressional district and joint representative seats. Silas Colvin was named as delegate with John McGuire as alternate for congressional, Pred Wooley as delegate with A B Vore as alternate for district delegates, Jim Conner as delegate with Walter Bond as alternate for joint representative, and Rev J M Baker as delegate with W I Hoff as alternate for state. After a few speeches the convention adjourned.
