Two Children Die In West Denver Store Fire

Fire at Thomas Lawson general store near Hoover, Cass County destroys building. Lawson family of twelve escapes. Anna a fifteen year old daughter leaps from an upper window, injuring her spine and Mack. Cecil and Leonard die in smoke. Building valued over ten thousand dollars with two thousand insurance. Funeral services held at Hoover Methodist Church.

Purdue Graduate Wayne Miller Returns Home After Degree

Wayne Miller of this town completed a four year chemical engineering program at Purdue and plans to return to Lafayette for commencement exercises on June 18. His mother Mrs Olive Miller will accompany him to the event and he notes that experience after college is needed to complete the training.

Leaves for Oklahoma to join Jackson family

Mrs J R Wright formerly of Denver now in Peru left Sunday for Tulsa Oklahoma with granddaughter Rachel Jackson to join her parents Mr and Mrs G C Jackson. The Jacksons moved from Denver months ago and left their little daughter with grandparents until locating a new home. A second daughter arrived at the Jackson home and will greet Rachel on arrival in Tulsa.
