Notorious horse thief Fundy captured in Peru crime saga
Charles Fundy, a veteran thief known by many names, was apprehended after stealing a livery team from Lou Ward’s Peru barn two months earlier. Miami County Detective Association head Joan Wolpert publicized the case nationwide, leading to clues that culminated in Fundy’s arrest near Kodu Lac Wis and transport to Sheriff York.
