Floyd Fouts is on the sick list this week with typhoid fever symptoms. Harvey Lee of Peru left Tuesday morning for Detroit to take a position with the Grand Trunk railroad and is rapidly advancing into better opportunities.
The Brethren Church Christian Endeavor society elected officers for the next year with Alice Maus as president and Della Eikenberry as vice president. Nora Fouts is secretary Ida Eikenberry treasurer and Anna Wood corresponding secretary. The floral fund treasurer is Rose Shoemaker. Five new members joined last Sunday and the society reports about $200 raised. The group meets devotionally the first Thursday each month.
Judson Lobdel and wife of Fowler Indiana visited W H Howes and wife Monday. Misses Fdyth Baber and Alma Dukes stayed with Miss Alta Griffith Sunday. Matthew Baber of Reana visited his parents Monday. Rev and Mrs J B Bair of Poneto are guests of daughter Mrs Bertha Bell this week. James Staller and family were dinner guests of Mr and Mrs John Donald Sunday. L Jones of Mexico attended the Wilson Carpenter Concert with the Howes. Esther Godfrey returned home from Poneto after visiting Rev and Mrs J B Bair. John Miller and family and John Miller Sr of Mexico were guests of I W Miller and family Sunday.
The Sunday afternoon meeting drew many men despite the heat. Rev Banks delivered a fine address and urged practical application in attendees’ lives. The next gathering is set for four weeks from last Sunday at the Methodist Church with room for about 200 more men from Denver and vicinity.

Mrs. Emma Leavell of Perrysburg stayed with brother Jacob Stanton and wife. George Lee and wife received a visit from Mrs. George Lee. Alvah Morris and family from Peru visited over Sunday. Albert Berger and Omer See with Floya Yoder and wives spent Sunday with Grover See and wife.
