In four miles of electric Mountain Lake line north of Gloversville New York two passenger cars collided head on. Fifteen people were killed and twenty nine injured. The crash occurred as crowds returned from a resort.

Wyatt Ryans, an African American servant of the late Dr. Charles T. Bradford of St. Louis, wins a multi-year case and gains $7,333 from Bradford’s estate after a court ruling by the Jefferson City Court of Appeals. The matter drew attention due to the servant’s unpaid services during the doctor’s illness and following his death.
Louis Ward, 20, was carried aloft when his foot caught a balloon rope during an ascent in Milford Massachusetts. He hung head downward for about thirty five minutes, then landed safely in a tree top a mile from the launch after the parachute was released. The balloon descended and Ward grabbed a limb to survive. the aeronaut released the parachute and landed.
Siegmund Guthmann vice-president of Guthmann Carpenter and Telling, a Chicago wholesale shoe firm, killed himself at his home after rising shortly after 1 AM. He was 60, had health troubles, and was found dead in a closet with a revolver after taking his life. Local relatives discovered him.
W A Reid, secretary of the Skagway YMCA, says Alaska Indians confirm a 1200 foot petrified ship on Porcupine River near Rampart. They claim all parts are fossilized and link it to Noahs ark. Reid plans another interior expedition with soldiers this summer.
A 28 year old theological student Paul Hertrick son of Rev Dertrick of late Minnesota disappeared after a June 16 injury while being moved to Minneapolis for treatment. He was last reported resting in a baggage car en route to the city during college vacation work as a carpenter in Allmay Minnesota.
An Ohio woman Mrs Katherine Mills of Toledo seeks her parentage through New York and Pittsfield Ohio records. Born March 18, 1846 to Rosanna, she was admitted to Home for the Friendless in 1848 and later learned her father served in the Mexican War. She has a son and was married as Spooner.
