The Farmers' Review presents a 1912 calendar titled The Bride praised as one of the prettiest, measuring 74 inches wide by 3 feet long, lithographed in 14 colors with gold. A copy can be mailed for 10 cents to The Farmers' Review, Chicago, Illinois.
A notice announces John Hower changing his residence from Deedsville Indiana to Lucerne Indiana. The Phillips Feed and Exchange reports a fresh stock of hay baled straw fodder corn and mice feeds. Mr and Mrs Alderfer hosted Alva Campfield and wife Till Strough Mrs Mary Kiester and Miss Mary Alderfer at dinner Thursday.
Charlie Keener received a letter from Clarence Fouts in Southwest Texas where he tends a land tract held by gentlemen. Fouts notes warm sea breezes, venison and quail meals, and a new garden ready for the table as a 76 degree day contrasts with 18 below weather elsewhere. Keener plans a return trip at the start of next month.
Ollie Johnson of St Louis Missouri visits Denver area relatives including DC Stowman and family. He samples Mexoja Coffee at the Cash Grocery Saturday and remarks on the best coffee in town for the price.
Miss Cora Dice and Mr. Harry B. Farr wed at the Dice home in Erie township in a small ceremony before about thirty relatives. Rev. J Holmes officiated with sister Sylvia Dice singing, and the couple will reside on the Farr family farm in Wabash county after a brief honeymoon.
The county board of education approves seventh graders taking Physiology and Geography exams with no eighth grade testing in those subjects. Graduation exams will be on the third Saturdays in March April and May. Next year primers reach first and second grade pupils. The county superintendent will grade teacher examination manuscripts and the twenty five cent licensure fee is abolished.
Rev C C Grisso from Mexico will preach at the Denver Brethren Church next Sunday morning. Rev Ronk, the local pastor, is in revival services at Tiosa and cannot attend. Due to revival at the Methodist church there will be no preaching at the Brethren church Sunday evening.
John Dawalt received a telegram Tuesday evening announcing the death of his nephew George Dawalt a road master on the Grand Trunk railroad at Detroit Michigan He was said to have been killed with no further particulars given Dawalt leaves a large family Further details to follow.
Golden Rio Coffee sold all day Saturday for 26c a pound at the Cash Grocery. Mrs. George Steffy of Mexico visited her sister-in-law. Mrs. Frank Staller and family note ongoing poor health. Miss Alice Clark near Roann and Miss Hester Abbott of North Manchester were entertained at Miss Alma Dukes home in South Denver. Mrs. Tom Greer ill with pleurisy then listed as dangerous.
