Denver Flour Mill Closes After Brief Operation

The Denver Flour Mill ends its operation after about a year. Mr. Lotzing, who ran the mill, will soon return to his Ohio farm. The closure ends a source of local trade and potential profits for Denver.

Noah Way Injured in Farm Timbering Accident

Noah Way was severely injured while cutting timber at the Bert Leedy farm north of Denver when a split tree section fell on him. Dr. Fretz examined him and found no broken bones. Way was brought to his Denver home Sunday.

Store Changes Hands in Deliver Trading

I W Miller traded his general store in Deliver to F K Baber who runs the Denver Cash Grocery for the latter's farm. Mr Miller begins stock reducing sale and Baber will take charge about February 26. Miller opened January 1 and made many friends as he quits. Baber has shown strong business skill in the Cash Grocery and faces a larger venture with success wished.

Miss Miriam Derek Hosts Masquerade for Birthday

Miss Miriam Derek threw a masquerade party Monday evening at her grandparents home in North Denver. Eleven guests attended to honor her twelfth birthday. Gordon Mikesell won a candy box prize for best mask. Ice cream and nabiscos were served. all enjoyed the evening.

The Ladies Aid Society of the Methodist church will meet at Mrs Acel Dukes home on Wednesday February 7 replacing the announced venue at Mrs C C Pyles.
