Birds Speed From 30 To 60 Miles An Hour Common

The Biological Survey notes many migratory birds reach 30 to 60 mph, with hawks capable of about 136 mph at times. Canvasbacks fly 130 to 160 ft s, doves up to 68 mph, and waterfowl such as teal, geese, and brant over 68 mph, though they usually fly slower.

Minnie Vore of Pipe Creek Dies at 71

Mrs. Minnie Vore, aged 71, of Pipe Creek township near Bunker Hill, died Sunday at 12:15 p m after a week of illness. Born October 24 1851 in Liberty Ohio she was widow of Lambert Vore and survived by five children Nellie Knepper George F Vore A T Vore Mattie B Vore and Carrie Bowser. At the Grimes homestead north of town on Sunday December 31 Charles and wife Charles Grimes observed their 34th wedding anniversary and Clint Grimes 31st birthday.
