Obituary of John Q A Howes From Raysville to Minami County
John Quincy Adams Howes born March 28 1828 near Raysville Ohio. He moved to Minami county Indiana in 1836 and spent his life there except for a few years. He married Orpah Murden in 1849 and lived a long faithful life with three sons William N Timothy Irvin and Sheridan. He joined the M E Church after marriage and died February 13 1912 at age 83 years 10 months 15 days survived by widow one son one grandson and a great granddaughter Ruth M Howes.

The six year old Mexico Music Club hosted a Wednesday program at Mr. and Mrs. C E Simons residence featuring piano solos, duets, vocal numbers, a male quartet, and a nine girl dessert posing drill with a quartet.
