A fire destroyed the Chute and Butler piano factory in Oakdale near Peru injuring no one. Loss estimated at 125000 with insurance covering part. William Strohm aged 75 died February 6 at the family home in Richland Township after a yearlong heart illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at Erie A B Church with interment in Mount Hope. He was born in Ohio to Michael and Mary Rettig Stroh, never married, and survived by three sisters Sophia, Katherine Groat, and Mary E. Cornel.
