Willis Long Improves After Appendicitis Surgery

Willis Long, admitted to the Methodist hospital in Indianapolis Tuesday for appendicitis, underwent a more serious operation than expected. Reports Thursday indicate he is resting well and should recover fully, though the recovery will be slow due to the illness's severity. The surgeon warned that delaying the operation further might have made surgery impossible.

Missionary Society Meets In February Gathering

The Women's Baptist Missionary Society met at Mrs. Elizabeth Cumberland's home on February 4. Leader Mrs. Jennie Murphy opened with More About Jesus and Scripture readings. Members discussed Our Work Among the Indians and Negros and heard talks from each attendee. Prayer day was set for February 20 for all denominations.
