Two weddings reported in Peru two days after Christmas 1901. Nellie Shutzbaugh wed William E Ogle at her father Charles Shutzbaughs home near Perrysburg with Rev A D Alexander presiding and twenty five guests. A wedding dinner followed as gifts poured in from local neighbors. On December 24 1901 Fred J Wright married Blanche E Redmon at the bride’s Perru home with Rev J F Wagner officiating. Wright, youngest son of Dr S M Wright, teaches at Weasaw, while Redmon is a popular Perru young woman. The community offers heartfelt congratulations.

Harkeh, pastor of the Christian church, officiated in the presence of relatives and friends. The couple will reside in Denver where the groom has secured Noah Arnest's property. The Triune joins with many friends in congratulation.

Amanda Dawson Dies at Home in Chili at 24
Amanda Dawson born November 13 1876 died December 17 1901 at her home in Chili aged 4 years 1 month 4 days. She married John Zimmerman in 1893 and they had four children who died in infancy. She joined Christ and His church at Chili and was received as a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Longtime sufferer from consumption the cause of death.
