Revival Services Continue Across Churches This Weekend

In Denver and Chili revival meetings progress with evening services and special Sunday events. Rev. Golden address at the Baptist Church marked a notable moment, while a men’s meeting at M E Church and women’s session at the Baptist Church are slated for next Sunday at 1 00 PM. Indianapolis reports Sunday December 5 designated Tuberculosia Sunday by the Indiana Tuberculosis Association. The group prepares for its Christmas Seal Sale to fund the 191c anti TB drive. Secretary Murray Auerbach asks county sale chairs to urge ministers to discuss prevention on December 4 and 5.

Ninety seven year old Mrs Hulda Oglebee of Bellaire Ohio is named the oldest Red Cross member in the Lake Division covering Ohio Indiana and Kentucky She remains active in the Fourth Roll Call through Thanksgiving Day Mary Jane Krieger of Cleveland aged 85 is second oldest and first woman past 80 to renew her 1921 membership in the Belmont County Chapter.

Tuberculosis Christmas Seals Reach Global Outreach

Washington reports 900 million seals distributed to 48 state and 111 county associations. If laid in a row they would span 15 000 miles and about nine seals per U S. inhabitant have been prepared. Sales run December 1 to 11 by over 100 workers to fund national state and county associations.

Zimmerman Weller wedding at Rev Martin home

A quiet wedding took place at the residence of Rev J N Martin 175 East Third Street on a Wednesday. Clarence Rue Zimmerman son of Allen and Elizabeth Zimmerman and Mildred Marie Weller daughter of Mr and Mrs Weller were the couple. The ceremony was officiated by Rev Martin with the groom's sister and Mr Kime in attendance. Congratulations and best wishes were offered for the couple.

Car Fire Near Denver Ends With No Serious Injuries

In a Denver area incident Mr Greer and Mrs Greer with two children escaped unharmed after a car fire started when a gas line ignited. Firefighters quickly doused the flames as curtains were pulled aside and occupants were removed. The front of the car sustained damage but the driver managed to return home. No explosion occurred, preventing further harm to bystanders.

Have Baby Girl Vivian Marlee Born to Stockdales

A baby girl named Vivian Marlee was born Friday near Denver to Mr and Mrs Curtis Stockdale. The infant weighed seven pounds and is the first child for the couple and the first grandchild for both sides. Mrs Stockdale formerly Miz a Zola Long and is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Foster Long.

Entertained at six oclock dinner at coun try house

Mr and Mrs Clinton Eikenberry and their son Herman hosted a six o clock dinner Friday at their country home south of Denver. Guests included Mrs Eikenberrys parents Dr and Mrs J W Newell of Denver and several relatives from Indiana Illinois and Chicago. A splendid dinner was served and greatly enjoyed.

A Thanksgiving dinner at the Newell home on Washington street brought together Dr. J. W. Newell and his wife with many guests. Attendees included Mrs Charles Stancil of Rockfield, Mrs Harry Newell, Mrs William Roach, Frank Bills of Indianapolis, Homer Newell of Chicago, Mrs Clay Olds and daughters Hester Alice and Betty Adelle of Detour, and the Eikenberry family with Herman. The gathering was described as very pleasant and memorable with Homer Newell's wife staying until Monday.

Mrs Mentzer Dies at Son's Home in Indiana

Denver reports the death of Mrs. Mentzer at her son Eli Mentzer's residence in LaGrange Indiana. Funeral services were held in Mentone on the preceding Wednesday the 24th. The Mentzers once lived in Mentone before moving to their son’s home for the winter. No further details are available.

Election victors take offices in Miami county

Albert Ward will serve six years as Miami circuit judge starting November 17. Hugh P. Lawrence becomes prosecuting attorney in the coming year. Charles E. Reyburn begins a new term as treasurer on January 1, 1929. Homer Fenters starts a second sheriff term January 1. Dr E S Waymire becomes coroner January 1, with Louis C. Johnson beginning a second term as surveyor. Berné Welch, former surveyor, serves as deputy. Richard Gilbert to succeed W H Myers as commissioner January 1. Eugene Mills to begin second term January 1, 1922. All county officers serve two years except the circuit judge six years and commissioners three years.

Thanksgiving guests circle at the Dukes home in Van Wert

Miss Alma Dukes, a Van Wert high school instructor, and Miss Treva Dukes, Indiana University student, arrived Wednesday with their parents Mr and Mrs L C Dukes and Elizabeth for Thanksgiving. Local teachers Miss Laura Harris and Miss Grace Harper visited, while several others from Wabash and Elkhart joined the family for a festive dinner before Treva and Alma returned to Bloomington and Elkhart Sunday evening.
