Resolutions honor a respected neighbor and Sunday School worker teacher. The M E Sunday School committee mourns an irreparable loss and extends sympathy to the bereaved family. His soul rests with God. his memory and bright influence linger among us.
Sunday afternoon the Editor and wife with Miss Oliivia Smith and Lee Fisher visited C F Fite's museum. They viewed a vast collection of curiosities described as the largest private collection in the region, including animals birds fishes insects firearms money and more. It is praised as worth seeing and said to surpass other venues that charge high admission.
Lloyd 8 Phillips and his mother Mrs. W. A. Phillips along with Miss Bessie Gordon were Saturday visitors hosted by Frank Matthias and his sisters.

Omer Lee of the W. H. Howes farm west of Denver reported Friday sickness among cattle. Indiana state veterinarian and Trustee Charles Simons examined the herd and confirmed rabies Hydrophobia and ordered the animal killed. Six cattle have died in this series.
Last Friday Dr. A C Kirby sold his veterinary barn and practice to Dr. G W Musselman. Both have long been based in Denver and Kirby leaves many friends in the city. Mrs Lizzie Tharp visited John Tharp and family at Peru over the weekend. Phillips Feed Store offers baby chick feeds shells and sanitary feeders tonics and more.
Farmers urged to attend a free demonstration by C. L. Edwards at P. S. Sullivan's Stock Sale in Denver on Saturday April 27. The firm promises hog treatment free of charge to prove the remedy's claimed benefits and names W. B. Black of Denver as local agent.
Berne L Welch of Peru, a Peru High School graduate with railroad surveying experience, is announced in this week’s Tribune as a candidate for county surveyor. He has assisted present County Surveyor Earl Lottridge and will seek the Democratic county convention’s backing.
Lewis Gustin now holds full ownership of Gustin Bros a furniture and undertaker business in Denver after buying the late Eri Gustin half share. Gustin, a licensed embalmer, will operate from the same building with a female assistant.
Mrs George Lantz of Peru died on Tuesday and funeral services are underway today. She was sister in law to Mrs P S Sullivan.
Notice of a public sale at a residence one mile north and four miles west of Denver on Saturday April 27. Items include four horses a gray gelding nine years old a bay mare thirteen with foal a colt nine months old two bay colts an 18 head of hogs and farming implements. Terms include eight months credit on sums five dollars and up with security and four percent discount for cash. P B Sullivan officiates.
