Dr J Robert Rochester former Philadelphia physician who retired to his summer home in Denton died on Thursday Sept 14 at age 77. Born in Caroline County he studied at McGill and Hanover Medical College. He served 32 years on the Women’s Homeopathic Hospital surgical staff and led its surgical department for 7 years. Survived by sister Mare Bryant brothers James and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at his home with Rev John E French officiating. Entombment at Denton Cemetery.

Ridgely businessman dies of heart attack in Brooklyn
Edward Rundell aged 53 of Ridgely died at his father’s Brooklyn home Wednesday morning from a heart attack while visiting New York for the Jewish New Year. He came to Ridgely four years ago for health reasons and ran a local clothing store. Born in Chester Pennsylvania he was active in sports and served in the Chamber of Commerce and Ridgely Athletic Association. He leaves his father two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services were held in Brooklyn on Thursday afternoon.
