Maryland Field Day Showcases Crop Research and Hay Driers
The University of Maryland hosts the Annual Agronomy Field Day at Plant Research Farm near Fairland. Exhibits include soybeans corn hybrids wide-rows and soil conditioners with guided tours from 10:00 a m to 3:00 p m. Another feature explains barn hay driers and their role in reducing losses and improving hay quality. Also covered are Peach Yellows disease in orchards and guidance on selecting properly fitting children's shoes with emphasis on growth, measurement, and long term foot health.
