Millions Helped by Red Cross in National Relief Efforts
More than 3,000,000 families nationwide received Red Cross relief this past winter due to unemployment and disasters. In 143 counties the chapters aided 90,000 families with groceries clothing and essentials. Wheat flour for 15,000,000 people was distributed March through June, with continued aid into 1932 33 and cotton clothing planned. The organization operates in 3 072 counties and collaborates with agencies while funding relief from its treasury. Citizens urged to join during the roll call from Armistice Day to Thanksgiving Day.
