Chas. E. Hadaway states fifty cars carrying at least 200 Caroline County Democrats will join Governor Tawes on a political tour by bus Monday at 9 a.m. from Hillsboro. The caravan will stop in Hillsboro Ridgely Greensboro Denton Federalsburg Preston with officials and press aboard, aiming for a statewide tour.

Wilbur Cleaves Hurt In Tractor Accident Near Denton
Wilbur H Cleaves was injured on his farm near Denton on Friday afternoon when a tractor overturned while pulling a truck from a field. His wife attempted to free him as the tractor rested on the truck hood, and fire and police responders aided before he was transported to Memorial Hospital Easton with multiple injuries. He recovered at home within days with no broken bones.

Five Industries Sign Up in the United Fund Payroll Plan

Doupnik of Federalsburg, chairman of the special industrial emphasis, announced early this week that more are joining daily. Wortham Receives Ten-Year Maryland Penitentiary Sentence
On October 24 1960 Lawrence Samuel Wortham 33 colored male of Baltimore was found guilty of second degree murder in the slaying of Henry Craig migrant farm laborer of Baltimore. The stabbing occurred September 17 at about 1030 p.m. The victim died after surgery at Easton Memorial Hospital. Eight witnesses testified for the state. three for the defense. The crime occurred at a labor camp near Tanyard. Judge J DeWeese Carter presided without a jury. Wortham credited with five weeks time served. He was sentenced to ten years in the Maryland Penitentiary.
