James N Saunders Receives 1962 Maryland Sanitarian Award
James N Saunders of Caroline County Health Department earned the Maryland Sanitarian Association award for meritorious service. The citation highlights work on sewage treatment plants at Federalsburg and Denton, county refuse disposal efforts, Interstate Sanitarian Seminar in Ocean City, and a ten year sanitary plan. Health officer Dr Edwin G Riley praised the selection. The award was presented by Dr Perry Prather at Ocean City on October 6.

Caroline County Unit 29 of the American Legion Auxiliary entertained 27 Perry Point veterans at the American Legion Home near Denton on Sunday October 7.
