Maryland Act Empowers Nursery and Child's Hospital
The General Assembly authorizes the Nursery and Child's Hospital of Baltimore to receive foundlings and destitute children under four, keep them until fourteen, and bind them as apprentices up to age twenty one, with written records and transfers to adoptive homes or other guardians.
