Delmarva Chicken Festival to crown Miss Delmarva in June
The Delmarva Chicken of Tomorrow Row Festival, sponsored by poultry leaders, will be held June 23 and 24 in Easton Maryland and Georgetown Delaware. A Miss Delmarva queen will be chosen with a prize package worth 1000 dollars, including a New York trip and wardrobe. The pageant occurs at Easton High School grounds on June 23 at 5 PM. Community contestants from Caroline County may obtain entry blanks from Mrs Grace Andrew.

Daily Vacation Bible School Starts June 1
The program is hosted by First and Grace Methodist Church, The Church of the Brethren, and Pilgrim Holiness Church of Denton. Rev. John E. French is Dean. Registration begins June 1 at 9:00 a.m. at First Methodist. Fees: 50 cents per child, $1.00 max for families. The curriculum includes Bible study, games, arts, music, and recreation. Classes move to the primary school when available.

The Denton Unit of the Junior Auxiliary of Easton Memorial Hospital met at the Armory on Tuesday May 25 with president Mrs C P Merrick Jr presiding. Final reports were given and the maternity building equipment project completed. A May 5 benefit concert by Margaret Speaks and Conrad Thibauldt netted 1927 dollars. Twin Girls Drowned At Garland Lake Near Denton
The five year old twin sisters Connie Sue and Bonnie Sue Cole drowned last Friday near Garland Lake about nine tenths of a mile from their grandparents farm. They wandered from the farm while vaccinated for school next fall and were found submerged in three and a half feet of water by Mrs. Frank Bailey. Police pronounced them dead. double funeral services were held Tuesday at the Church of the Brethren with burial in Denton Cemetery.

About 400 guests from Maryland and Delaware attended a Caroline Chapter 62 reception at Caroline High School auditorium in Denton honoring Mrs. Mildred C. Johnson and Price E. Wilson of the Grand Chapter of Maryland. The program featured Sunshine Fantasy themes with yellow and white decor, vocal solos, a tap dance, magic acts, and barbershop numbers by local talent.

Seventy Eight Methodist Ministers Get New Churches
At the annual conference Bishop Clare Purcell announced 73 pastoral changes across the Peninsula Methodist Conference with most shifts in the Easton and Salisbury Districts. Wilmington saw two changes Grace Church and Trinity Church while vacancies existed in Hopewell and Rising Sun. several named pastors and new appointments were detailed, and Purcell praised the conference and district superintendents before notes of future world brotherhood and continuation on page 4.
