The Office of Price Administration seeks a court injunction against A. W. Sisk and Son of Preston Maryland. OPA alleges the broker arranged middleman commissions on canned foods violating price controls by buying at maximum prices and selling to wholesalers with a three percent commission. Goldsborough Enlists in U S Marine Corps in 1942
Pacific Area Lieutenant George Hall Goldsborough U S M C son of Judge and Mrs T Alan Goldsborough of Denton enlisted in September 1942 and earned his commission at Quantico in February 1943. He served at New River and later joined the Pacific theatre. He attended Caroline High School Mercersburg Academy Cornell University and the University of Maryland before working for Southern States Cooperative and the Department of Agriculture. He married Helen Rector in December 1941.

George S Baynard of Goldsboro Maryland has been promoted from Sergeant to First Sergeant by the Fort Miles Delaware Commanding Officer. Tydings And Roe Are Winners In Monday's Primary Election
Maryland voters backed United States Senator Millard E. Tydings for a fourth term in a light Democratic primary in Queen Anne's County. Dudley G. Roe led the competition for the GOP side, while Willis R. Jones carried three counties in the district race. Ward carried only Salisbury in the district contest. Cecil County showed little soldier turnout, and overall returns were sparse with a wide margin for Tydings over Roe as results from 1,220 of 1,328 polling places were reported.
