American Legion Wins $32 Million World War I Policy Dividend

The American Legion reports a $32 million special dividend for USGLI holders, to be paid mid April to mid May by the Veterans Administration. The effort followed years of advocacy by the Legion Insurance Advisory Board, ending with VA approval and a push to convert term policies to permanent plans, though many WWI veterans with certain policies will not benefit. Maryland veterans are urged to contact Legion Service Officer Charles L. Michael at the VA Building in Baltimore for guidance.
