About 250 people attended the Northeastern Winter Hay Show at the University of Maryland College Park. Dr. Gordon M. Cairns moderated a panel of dairy and agricultural engineering experts and dairymen discussing hay drying methods and research gaps. J W House won first prize in the hay judging contest. Allen Hill elected Hay Drying Association director. executives to meet April 6 in Wilmington Delaware.

Denton Lad Wounded In Revolver Accident
Thomas Fleetwood a 13 year old of Denton was wounded while showing a .32 caliber revolver to a friend in the Fleetwood home. The injury occurred about 2 pm in a bedroom. He was rushed to Memorial Hospital Easton in a Denton Fire Co ambulance and underwent immediate surgery. Doctors said he was in critical condition but expected to recover barring complications. He attends Caroline Junior High School. his father is a dealer in autos and farm implements.

Violator Fined Sentenced On Five Auto Charges
Clyde Nuton of Cambridge was found guilty on five charges and dismissed on a sixth in Denton Trial Magistrate's Court after police testified he stopped a driver, demanded licenses, chased for blocks, and took the man to Judge L Claude Howard's house. Nuton faces 75 dollars in fines, 60 days suspended, and 30 days in county jail. Roland Towers of Federalsburg was found guilty of assault on George Evans, fined 40 dollars with a one year suspended sentence in the House of Correction. A case on illegal possession of alcoholic beverage manufacturing equipment began and was continued after constitutional law questions.

Caroline County public schools will close at 3 30 p m Wednesday March 25 for Easter vacation extending through Tuesday March 31. Students return at 9 00 a m Wednesday April 1. The Upper Caroline Neighborhood Association of Girl Scouts met in Fellowship Hall at First Methodist Church in Denton on Thursday evening March 12. President Mrs James Cooper presided as District Director Mrs James Bounds spoke on the Peninsula Council Organization expanding across Maryland Virginia and Delaware. Nominating chair Mrs K T Everngain presented delegates to the Council and alternates for two-year terms. Glenn and Gene Davison of Harrington Delaware were found guilty of petty larceny at Greensboro. Each was fined 40 and 20 dollars respectively after a claim they stole auto jacks from William Roop's service station. Evidence showed the Davison car broke down and an aerial was ripped from a used car during a dispute. State Police apprehended them after they fled Roop.
