First Boys And Girls 4 H Club Banquet Planned
The Caroline County Council of 4 H Clubs unites the boys and girls 4 H banquets into one event at the Masonic Temple in Denton on Thursday March 16 at 645 p m. Tickets are 5 cents and all enrolled members plus their parents may attend as the theme 4 H Trail is developed by members with speakers from State Extension and others.

Seventy six students completed an eight week adult night vocational program run by the Caroline County Board of Education. A banquet at the Brick Hotel closed the session with 100 attendees including relatives and employers. Certificates were awarded for at least 75 percent attendance across agriculture salesmanship and public speaking classes led by local educators and university specialists.

Canneries Sold On Block Bring $38,700
Two Maryland and Delaware canneries Cordova and Willoughby were sold for 38700 to Merton Jarboe of Harrison Jarboe at Easton. Jarboe acted for Phillips Packing Co of Cambridge which plans to run the plants and add pea-viners. The sale included houses warehouses a fertilizer factory and a new Cordova office building with fourteen additional pea-viners bid in by Jarboe.
