Elopement Plot in Tall Holt Drives Ruth to Seeks Safe Haven
Ruth Chiswick plots to elope with Lou Howard to shield her father Lee from rustlers led by Sherm Howard. In Tall Holt a stranger named Jeff Gray, later revealed as Clint Doke, and gangsters Curly Connor Norris discuss motives as gunplay erupts. Lee orders a raiding party, Ruth packs provisions, and Frank Sorley tracks rustlers toward Box Canyon amid worsening weather.
