Denton to Get New Scherzer Rolling Lift Bridge Across Choptank
Dr. W H Ford explains a 21 foot roadway 6 foot 2 inch sidewalk and 50 foot clear channel with 75 foot total length. The Scherzer rolling lift design requires little power, balances on a track, and opens in 20 to 80 seconds. Eight new piers planned with reinforced concrete spans, expected completion about November 1.
