In Denton Maryland on June 21, 1913 William A Stewart writes to Democrats of Caroline County urging his nomination for Treasurer at the forthcoming primary. He pledges to resign his store and devote full time to official duties and opposes a second term, asserting reelection should be barred by law for the accounting office.
An advertisement informs Democratic voters that the candidate seeks the nomination for County Treasurer in Caroline County. He asks for support in the primaries, pledges faithful service, and expresses gratitude to democracy. The notice shows Democratic allegiance and intent to serve if elected.
J Rl Woughes of Greensboro Md declares his candidacy for sheriff after Democratic urging lasting over a year. He asks party allies and voters for support, stating he can serve the people well if nominated and elected.
Denton Maryland April 10 1913 James Temple declares his candidacy for the Sheriff’s office and asks Democratic party support at the approaching primaries promising to devote full attention to the office if elected.
William G. Smite announces candidacy for Sheriff in Caroline County as a Democrat. He was born and raised there and has never held elective office. He pleads for party support in the primaries and promises to serve to the best of his ability if nominated and elected. Ridgely Md March 8 1913. T Elliott also promotes candidacy but with similar pledge uses.
George W. Kelley announces his candidacy for the Sheriff nomination, urging Democratic voters to support him. He says he has long been a zealous Democrat and has worked for party tickets, hoping for general good wishes and assistance. Fight District.
