Plans Completed For 11th Rural Women's Short Course
The eleventh annual Rural Women's Short Course, run by the University of Maryland Extension Service, is set for June 19 through the week. About 500 Maryland women from all counties will attend with speakers from national and state organizations, a Homemakers Day, and a certificate program including a four-year attendance milestone. Governor Albert C. Ritchie may attend the graduation exercises.

More than 1 000 free trips to the Chicago World's Fair will be awarded to Chevrolet field personnel this summer for meritorious May and June sales work. The prize covers two days and two nights in Chicago plus transportation. Awards go to top sellers against the June 30 quota within each zone. Winners will see Chevrolet's assembly plant at the GM building on the exposition grounds.

The Caroline County Garden Club staged its inaugural spring flower show at the Fisher Building in Denton on Thursday and Friday. Judges Ernest Hemming and Lay Beaven awarded blue, red and gold seals to winners in numerous categories led by Mrs. P. R. Fisher and Mrs. Edna B. Green. Hostesses included Mrs. Brumbaugh and Mrs. Horsey with additional helpers assisting classifications and exhibits.
