Emergency Telephone Installer Rescues Lost Baker Boy
William Hoofnagle a telephone company installer responded to a rush emergency call in Northeast Washington to reunite three year old Philip Baker with his distraught parents on Channing Street. After confirming with the boy he located in a game crowd, he brought him to the home where a grateful Mrs Baker seized her son. She decided to keep the emergency line on for future needs.
