Relief Taxes Bring in $304,021 in June
The new State relief tax program collected 304,021 during June, the first full month, from taxes on automobile titles, beer, whiskey, admissions, cosmetics, documents and recordation, mobile-driver reregistration, pin-ball machines, and music boxes. Officials expect annual revenue to rise toward 5 million with future income tax receipts.

Orphans Court Approves Multiple Estate Actions in Caroline County
The Orphans Court met in regular session with Judges Towers Handy and Dennis. Several estates received actions including grants of administration to T Clayton Harsey on Lena W Connor estate and J DeWeese Carter Ella Carter Anderson on John T Carter estate. Holiness Group Elects Officers At Annual Pilgrim Assembly
The Pilgrim Holiness Church assembly in Cambridge completed its meeting with an ordination by Rev. W. L. Surbrook of Detroit and the ordination of Rev. Etta Clough of Laurel as the sole candidate. District officers were elected led by Rev. P. F. Elliott, Sr. of Dover as superintendent and Rev. Thomas S. Dixon of Denton as assistant. Two ministers were received from other states, and several pastoral changes were announced, including resignations and new appointments in Cambridge and Cape Charles.
