Elmer M. Jackson Jr., an Annapolis newspaperman and editor of several Southern Maryland papers, bought the 173 acre Walter L Kinnamon Farm on Rt 405 Bridge Town Goldsboro Road in Caroline County. Sister Immaculata of the Benedictine School for Exceptional Children, Ridgely, was critically injured when her mother’s car failed to stop at Routes 404 and 312. A westbound vehicle driven by Alexander Fedas of Baltimore caused the collision. all vehicles were totaled. Including a child passenger from the Houtman car, injuries varied from skull fracture to possible chest injuries. Bridgetown’s charter was revoked by the Secretary of State for failure to file financial statements for three years, ending the town’s municipal status.

Man Held In Marihuana Case Near Denton Arrest
James L. Roberts aged 28 of near Denton was arrested in Ocean City on Sunday and charged with illegal possession of marihuana and seed. Ocean City Police Chief W. Jack Phillips said the arrest followed weeks of joint investigation by Maryland State Police and Ocean City police.
