Rites Held For N H Fooks Canner Mason
Prominent state and county leaders attended the funeral for Nelson H. Fooks former State Senator from Caroline county and well known Eas tern Shore canner. The service was under Masonic Lodge No 207 Preston with Harry B Wright in charge. Interment was at East New Market cemetery. Fooks a veteran canner served in the Maryland House of Delegates and as Senator for eight years. He died after a recent heart attack following a brief hospital operation. He is survived by his wife Nellie Phillips and three children Virginia Nell Irving N Fooks and Nell Fooks, plus three brothers and other relatives.
