Fire Destroys Tony's Sub Shop and Filling Station in Seaford
A 15,000 blaze early Wednesday swept through Tony's Sub Shop and a filling station at Market Street and the Nanticoke River in Seaford. Owned by the W. F. The corrugated roof helped confine the flames to the single building. Nearby landmarks include the City of Seaford Light and Power plant, Miller Furniture, the Seaford Leader office, and two plumbing supply firms. Market Street traffic was detoured while workers headed to the DuPont nylon plant passed by on a bypass route.
