Vocational Trades School Proposed for Caroline County
Caroline County Commissioners and Board of Education reviewed a plan by Superintendent Wilburn Hoppengardner for a new vocational trades building near North Carolina School at a total cost of 235000 plus 100000 for equipment. Federal funds would cover much, with 15 to 20 percent of students likely to enroll. Courses would serve 10th to 12th graders, splitting time between academics and trades, freeing classrooms at two high schools and easing capacity at Lockerman, North Caroline, and Col. Richardson High.
