Vision on the Mount of Transfiguration in Matthew 17
A sermon outline on Peter and the Mount of Transfiguration, urging a spiritual vision of Christ before service. It contrasts a mountain revelation with valley faith, cites divine testimony, and highlights prayer power, Jesus' omnipotence, and the need to bring full salvation to the needy.

Cocktail spree hints at vice president gala in 1936
Solution will appear in next the cocktail spree given by Evie Walker Robert for Vice President Garner. Evie is the St. Michaels girl, now married to "Chip" Robert, Secretary of the Democratic National Committee. She is the No. 1 glamour girl of Washington. Biggest hand at the Concord Club dinner went to Mayor Howard Jackson. His honor was in excellent form, paid tribute to the gentleman who had defeated him for the governorship, and dealt in homely Jacksonian philosophy. As he sat down, there were shouts of "Jackson for Mayor." Howard has told friends that he will run for re election. Not a single member of the Brooke Lee organization from Montgomery County was present at the Concord Dinner. Dave Winebrenner, of Frederick, was there but left early. Governor O Connor appears to be leaning on new leaders in Frederick County for advice, chiefly Francis Perrott and Manuel Wineberg, attorneys and George Grove, automobile dealer, Grove is considered by Rooscoe Administration officers to be the key man in Frederick. He was the Davey Lewis campaign manager in that area and succeeded in carrying the county for Davey despite the opposition of Winebrenner.

Maryland dinner flouts Roosevelt praise at Jackson Day event
The Concord Club Baltimore Jackson Day dinner stood out by not tuning to the President, with Senator Tydings thanking Republicans for his election. The gathering nearly avoided mentioning Roosevelt, except for one toast, and later sparred publicly with reactions from Eugene Casey and others over party affiliations and presidential references amid Baltimore political tensions.
