Croatian troops push Russians from several positions south of the Dniester, seizing fortified heights and extending the front.
A Daily Mail dispatch from Mamornita dated Monday reports Austrian troops and artillery have evacuated their Bukowina frontier positions across the Pruth River from Mamornita Rumania and pulled back to Czernowitz amid Russian artillery fire. The Austrians fear a new Russian offensive toward Czernowitz with no signs of a renewed advance by the Austrians.
London February 25 three aviators who took part in a raid against German positions in Belgium are missing. The official Information Bureau issued the statement confirming their status.
Kissimmee Florida February 25 Will Reed a Black man accused of assaulting a white woman was pulled from the county jail by about one hundred armed men and lynched. The victim reportedly identified him.

Fighting continues west of Lombaertryde as German infantry and artillery push near Ypres and the French front, with multiple fronts described as active.
The senate in Trenton unanimously passes a bill permitting the Rockefeller Foundation to operate in New Jersey and spend 1 million dollars on animal research, signaling a major federal style research program entering the state.

The city lay bombarded with shells tearing at stone and timber and white dust rising from the ruins as thousands hid in cellars and behind barricades.
Paris reports from Geneva that for the third time since war began rumors claim Crown Prince Frederick William died in December. A Berlin letter says the German court is in mourning, while official German reports make no mention of the prince, seen as significant by the correspondent.
Geneva dispatch reports Serbian troops crossed the Austrian frontier near Bjelina and Mitrovitza on the nights of February 20 and 21, penetrating up to four miles. The action is believed aimed at drawing Austrian forces away from the Russian front to aid the western defense.

Police search Isaac Morrow of Reading, brother of David Morrow, for making and selling objectionable photographs. Miss Emily Eggenweiler, owner of a Mauch Chunk theater, contracted the Morrows to film local views. They assured cleanliness and did not censor. A scene provoked a near riot. David Morrow was captured, his brother escaped.
